Cadet Camps

The Kinross Wolaroi School Cadet Unit (KWSCU) has been established for well over 60 years. In recent years it has grown with the School, and it now has a  Unit strength in the order of 300 cadets. Each year the Unit undertakes three major training programmes. These include a Bivouac, Annual Camp and the Promotions Training Camp for those who wish to pursue leadership training. Training is conducted through theory lessons, demonstrations, practical and field activities, It encompasses topics such as bushcraft, field craft, navigation, survival, search and rescue, watermanship, radio procedures, abseiling, archery, bush first aid, orienteering, field hygiene obstacle course, drill and field engineering. Camps are currently held at a site near Parkes, NSW, and at School.
