The Cattle Team

A popular outdoor activity for students from Year 7 to 12 is to join the Cattle team where students can be involved in stud cattle and steer shows. The school has traditionally shown Shorthorn cattle but with our large herd of Angus breeders, an Angus Stud was established for the students to breed and prepare stud bulls to be retained for out commercial herd or sale. Students in the team learn all aspects of cattle husbandry, from sire selection to preparing bulls and females for showing.
