At Kinross Wolaroi School we believe that only part of a student's education can be realised in the classroom. An essential complement to formal education is the acquisition of life skills such as an appreciation of the value of team work and the rewards that flow from hard work. For some students these skills are most readily learned in a music ensemble.
Ensembles offer the opportunity of assisting development of an individual's skills on their instrument, but also heightening awareness of how an individual may best contribute to collective excellence. The excitement of a good performance and the acclaim which follows it is often one of the most memorable of all experiences at school, and can be for some students the beginning of a lifelong passion for music, whether as a professional or amateur performer, or as a listener.
