ROWING
Rowing at Kinross WOlaroi
At Kinross Wolaroi School rowing is more than just a sport—it’s a tradition of excellence, teamwork, and personal growth. Each season, we welcome a squad of 80 to 90 dedicated rowers who train at the stunning Spring Creek Reservoir, just 10 minutes from our main campus.
Tailored training
Rowing Program
Rowing at Kinross Wolaroi School begins in Year 8, where students are introduced to the fundamentals through Physical Education classes, including technical training on ergs and visits to our rowing shed. From there, students can progress through our Junior and Senior Squads, with tailored training programs designed to build skill, strength, and endurance.
- Junior Squad (Years 8–10): Five training sessions per week
- Senior Squad (Years 11–12): Nine training sessions per week
Training extends beyond the water, incorporating strength and conditioning sessions in our on-campus Weights Room and Rowing Studio, ensuring our rowers are prepared for every challenge.
