Kinross Wolaroi School Celebrates Outstanding 2025 HSC Results
Kinross Wolaroi School is proud to announce the exceptional achievements of the Class of 2025 in the Higher School Certificate, reflecting their dedication, resilience, and commitment to excellence.
This year’s results were among the strongest in the school’s history. Grace Simpson achieved the highest ATAR of 99.45, closely followed by Isabel Wong, the 2025 Dux, with 99.2. In total, 12 students attained ATARs above 95, 24 students scored above 90, and 50 students achieved ATARs over 80, with the median ATAR at 76.35. These results place Kinross Wolaroi among the top-performing schools in NSW, climbing to 151st in the Sydney Morning Herald rankings, up from 185th in 2024.

Academic excellence was complemented by breadth of achievement across subjects. 27.4% of the cohort earned places on the Distinguished Achievers list, contributing to a record 46% of total entries in the top two bands (Band 5 or 6) with 14% in Band 6, among the school’s best-ever performances. Four students – Grace Simpson, Isabel Wong, Emily Clunas, and Lucinda Clinton – were recognised as HSC All-Rounders, achieving the highest band in 10 or more units. Additionally, Grace and Emily earned state rankings in Personal Development, Health and Physical Education.
Individual subject success was remarkable, with six courses achieving 100% Band 5 or 6 results, including Drama, Music 1 and 2, and English Extensions. Eight subjects exceeded state averages by more than 4%, notably Legal Studies, PDHPE, and Industrial Technology. Students also received numerous nominations for prestigious HSC showcases: 13 OnSTAGE nominations for Drama, Encore nominations for Music, and selections for SHAPE, TexStyle, and ARTEXPRESS, highlighting creativity and innovation across the arts and technology.
Beyond academics, the Class of 2025 demonstrated leadership, service, and co-curricular excellence. Many graduates balanced rigorous study with commitments to sport, music, and community initiatives, embodying the school’s values of integrity, empathy, and contribution.
We are also delighted to report that 100% of eligible students received at least one early university offer, with many securing multiple offers, including record admissions to ANU and leading residential colleges at the University of Sydney and UNSW.
Principal Dr Andrew Parry shared his pride in the cohort’s achievements:
